Hendrik Lasure's Unday debut 'Het Wiel' came out to huge acclaim in November. We have been flooded with love and instant affection for what is one of the most idiosyncratic and imaginative records we ever had the chance of releasing. Today we get to share the lyric video for 'Fakkelpop', probably the most fragile song on the album. It originated on a miserable day mid lockdown, drowned in despair and self pity. Hendrik and producer Koen Gisen recorded vocals and guitar with a single mic, which, along with a sparse eerie organ overdub, adds to the directness and vulnerability. The title 'Fakkelkop' is a reference to Elliott Smith's 'Roman Candle', the title track of his 1994 debut.
