Wannes Cappelle's new single 'Vleugels' was written for Sara, who has lived with a congenital immune disorder for over twenty years. It took two decades before she finally received a diagnosis.
The two met through Songs of the Unseen, a project bringing musicians together with people who have extraordinary stories to tell. Sara shared hers, Wannes listened, and together they found the starting point for a song about the long journey from surviving to living again.
'Vleugels' is part of Wannes' ongoing theatre production 'Verstaanbaar'.
