No need to convince followers of this page of the versatility and prolificness of Bert Dockx. For Record Store Day 2022, we got the chance to do a onetime vinyl pressing of this musical theatre project he did with Josse De Pauw in 2021. Bert was asked to create a soundtrack for Josse’s monologue ‘Kroniek van het Vuur’, a translation of a work by Uruguayan writer Eduardo Galeano. Bert invited two friends from his jazz band Ottla (Thomas Jillings and Louis Evrard) and a fourth musician (bass player Axel Gilain). Together they played a series of scorching live shows. Two cuts from those live recordings are now on this exclusive 12” single, limited to 400 copies. One pressing only!
