Brussels-based duo Hydrogen Sea follows up their third album "Creature Comforts" with an intimate EP titled "Wolves". This release features mostly stripped-down piano versions of album tracks, emphasizing the raw emotion of their music. Alongside these reimagined songs, the EP introduces one brand new song, continuing the acoustic, delicate tone. The "Wolves EP" offers a more personal, vulnerable take on their sound, making it a reflective companion to their previous work.
Hydrogen Sea’s EP opens with the new eponymous single "Wolves" taken from their third full album "Creature Comforts". This sweeping track invites you to "just howl" and reconnect with your body and your true wild self. The EP continues with the brand new song "Birds of Paradise", crafted with two pure and simple ingredients: Birsen’s voice and Pj’s piano—gems that needed no further embellishment. This sets a delicate and acoustic tone for the rest of the EP. Following is a candid and moody piano version of "Cherry Milk", after which Hydrogen Sea offers a stripped-down, atmospheric version of the title track "Wolves" and of "Dragons", both recorded during a late-night session at Ancienne Belgique.
