Barcelona-born musician and architect Bianca Steck offers a new glance at her anticipated first record with the release of "Do I Know Myself At All?". This introspective track invites listeners into a deeply personal journey of self-reflection and identity, blending Bianca’s rich musical heritage with contemporary folk and pop influences.
"Do I Know Myself At All?" is a poignant exploration of self-discovery and the perceptions that shape who we are. Through heartfelt lyrics and intimate harmonies, Bianca asks the profound question: How much of our identity is truly our own, and how much is shaped by the views and expectations of others?
The accompanying music video, directed by the talented Romain Szuwalski and filmed in evocative 16mm, visually echoes this introspective theme. The video, filmed on analogue film, follows Bianca on a contemplative journey through the streets of a city.
Bianca Steck, who now calls Brussels home, has a diverse and storied background. Born in Barcelona to parents of German and English descent, Bianca’s musical journey began at a young age at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona, where she studied piano and clarinet. By fifteen, she was already composing her own music, experimenting with harmonies and creating a sound uniquely her own. Her music, deeply rooted in classical traditions, is infused with the emotional depth of folk and the accessibility of pop, creating a bridge between genres.
Bianca's music has already garnered attention across Europe, with performances in iconic venues and a recent tour alongside the acclaimed Hania Rani in cities such as London, Berlin, Leipzig, Brussels, Antwerp, and Paris. "Do I Know Myself At All?" marks another significant step.
"Do I Know Myself At All?" is available now on all streaming platforms. The music video can be viewed on Unday Records' official YouTube channel.
