Billboard just launched the final chapter of Trixie Whitley and Hannah Marshall's 'Lacuna' video trilogy. 'The space in-between' is an exquisite short film comprising three performance video's for three songs on Trixie's new album. While the trilogy is a personal study of the space in-between, it unravels a slow-burning language of physical movement and focuses on the evolution from an individual to a collective sense of intimacy, trust, and all its liminalities in-between.
The music videos for all three parts of the trilogy, ‘Touch’, ‘Long Time Coming’, and ‘May Cannan’ were created by Whitley with visual artist and creative director Hannah Marshall, known for her signature monochromatic aesthetic and her work with bands such as The xx, Florence and The Machine, Savages and Goldfrapp. For the movement Whitley worked in close connection with Australian choreographer and dancer Paul Zivkovich (Akram Khan Company).
